I currently have a single speed 1 HP super pump running at 115V that I would like to convert to dual speed or variable speed for electricity cost savings. The wet end of the pump is in good shape, so I would only be looking for a replacement motor. Is there a replacement DS or VS motor that exists in a similar HP rating that can be used with 115V? I haven't found any on the Hayward site or Inyopools, but the amount of options makes it a bit overwhelming. I would really rather not convert to 230V unless I really have to. Thanks!

I'm not sure - how would I find that out? Regarding the HP rating - I understand I should look at HP x SF = total HP, is that correct?

Yes, THP is HP×SF and the new motor needs to equal or larger than the old.
Most SuperPumps have the shim under the back of the motor that can be removed to accommodate a larger diameter motor. If you remove the motor you can look for it.
