Dry acid with SWG

Hi,

In the Pool School " Recommended Chemicals" section it says that it is best to use Muriatic Acid with a Salt Water Generator.

As I'm finding with a number of items, Muriatic Acid is not available in an accessible way in the UK. I can find 30% MA at a chemical company but its $70 for 5L (1.3 US gallons) and they won't deliver to a residential address anyway.
Or I can source "Brick Acid" from a builders merchant which is HCL with some additives and a "5% to <10%" concentration which isn't really useful. Anyway all the builders merchants are closed due to the lockdown.

I can readily source Dry Acid. So my question is what is the downside to using dry acid, specifically with a SWG and is it a showstopper?

Thanks as always for any help.
Cheers
Ian

Update : I have discovered that this is sold here as "TA reducer" and is 20% HCL which is "inhibited" ( I'm not knowledgable to understand what inhibited means but a google search says they've added something to prevent metal damage?).
Should this be OK?
Thanks!
Ian
