Any water testing ‘zealots’ out there with an opinion on
Drop n Swirl
Vs Drop Drop Drop Drop Drop Drop & swirl
Using taylor reagents, knowing approx endpoint ahead of time.
I know for CH 250, I can add 8 drops at once -then swirl once.
Add drop 9, swirl once. Add drop 10, swirl once, reaching endpoint at 10 drops for CH 250.
If I drop n swirl #1, drop n swirl # 2, , drop n swirl #3, drop n swirl #4, drop and swirl #5, drop n swirl #6, drop n swirl #7, drop n swirl #8, drop n swirl #9, and drop n swirl #10. I also reach color change endpoint for CH test at 10 Drops.
Since I get the same results, to save time, I will often add 8 drops before my first Swirl, then as I approach endpoint
I Swirl after EACH drop.
BUT when testing alkalinity, and knowing the endpoint before the test, it seems swirling the R009 after each drop, VS adding most of the drops then swirling, can vary my TA test result 10ppm.
Any opinions? ( yes imma little analytical)
