Drain house water heater into pool, kill two birds

Why isn’t it a regular thing for people to do their annual house water heater drain right into their pool at the beginning of the season?

Hot water heaters may have sludge and other minerals
in the water.

I guess a 500gallon water heater would be needed to make a difference

You really do not want to to that... There is just too much crud in the bottom of the heater.

it seems like it would be easy to stick some kind of sock filter at the end of the hose to keep the crud out and considering how much stuff ends up getting vacuumed out of a pool anyway it doesn’t seem like the water heater crud would be a big deal....I wanted to do it hoping to raise the pool temp a couple degrees. I since learned the ratio would be way too low to make a difference.
