Dead end pocket on Skimmer - how to plug it?

The bottom of my skimmer appears to have two ports where plumbing could be connected. The right side is plumbed to the pump / filter. The left side is just a dead ended hole that fills up with debris, dead bugs and junk that sits there and rots. The only way to clear it is to take a shop vac and suction that spot. Surely they make a flush fitting piece that closes that off? I can't find it though. Any ideas?

Do you have a skimmer basket to catch debris?

What model skimmer do you have? What letter and numbers are on the bottom of your skimmer lid?

You can stick a winterization plug into the hole...

Yes I pulled the basket out for the picture. I saw those winterization plugs when googling but it looks like it would stick up some and prevent the basket from going back in place.

It seems like they were be an actual plug for unused holes. I'm not the original owner so I don't know if the lid is original but I can look in it for numbers.

Thanks
