I’m wanting to change my de filter to a cartridge filter and want to know what a good replacement would be for a Hayward DE3620? Was thinking the Hayward C7512, but I’m not sure on the compatibility and if there is a different one that is “better”. Thanks.

Breen,

Keep in mind that cartridge filters do not use multiport valves, so you are not going to be able to remove one and stick in the other..

The brand of filter just does not matter, they all work about the same.. The bigger the filter, the less often you will have to open and clean it..

I have a Pentair CCP-520 and clean it twice a year, but am sure I could get away with once a year if I wanted.

To give you some reference... the Hayward C7512 has 75 sq.ft. of filter area.. My CCP-520 has 520 Sq.ft. of filter area..

How often do you want to open your filter to clean it?

Thanks,

Jim R.
