Cya dispenser, pool math...do I have this right?

I'm currently filling up my pool with all new water. I did throw a single pick in my chlorinator yesterday. So I can assume cya is 6-7. I got some stabilizer and calculated with pool math that I should use approximately 2 lbs to bring cya up to 35ish. I set this up, is it right? Water level not yet to skimmer basket. Am I doing this right?

Looks great. Keep it up. Give it an occasional squeeze after it soaks a bit.

Also, when I squeeze the sock, should I wear a glove, or is it not that harmful to my hand?

The official answer is to always use PPE- Personal Protection Equipment when handling chemicals.

But, i can say I still have my hands and leave it at that.

Me too. Just give that sock a good sqoosh now and then and it will be empty in no time!
