I just noticed this crack in the collar of my backwash valve body today while snugging down my filter band (separate issue - notice leaking on side of filter).

I don't see any signs of leaking around that crack, but is this something I need to fix ASAP? Is this an easy fix (I'm pretty handy.. just swapped out my spa light fixture)? Thanks!

That collar is a part of the backwash valve assembly. You might be able to find a "split nut" that has matching threads. The actual fitting seals with an O ring inside the filter portion.
I have seen people take a cargo strap and wrap it around the filter tank and backwash valve to take the strain off that collar as a temporary fix. It may last for years, it may last a day. There is no easy answer.
