Cost for PVC work

I've just been quoted $450 to replace the cracked PVC pipes and two ball valves that I have for my single-skimmer, single-drain inground pool.
Leaving aside the suggestions that I do it myself, and leaving aside the absolute guesses, does anyone have experience enough to tell me that that is unreasonably high or not?
It seems high, but I don't know.

I was quoted 125.00 hr plus the ball valves for 2 small pvc pieces and 2 ball joints.

Yes, that appears high. In your area, you may not have many options. Have you gotten any quotes from plumbers besides pool stores?

Can't say if that's high or not as we can't see the complexity of the work. However, I would suggest you get Jandy valves and they will NEVER need to be replaced again. Ball valves usually last 2-4 years and then break.

depends on where they are cracked and how much pipe work. just getting somebody out in June to do the work is tough, any repair is at least two hours, seems OK in my area

Replacing most of the pipe in the picture. Note that the saw is not related to this project Doesn't SEEM complex, compared to pools with multiple skimmers and drains. I don't know. Sticker shock I guess.
