I have two smaller pool light niches in my inground liner salt water pool. One in the shallow end and the other in the deep end. This is an older pool and the lights are sta-rite 05602 120v spa lights.
While replacing the bulb in one of them, I noticed the niche appears to have some corrosion going on. Should I be concerned by this? Have a look at the photos.

Eventually, I would love to replace these lights with a color changing led set, but most likely would need new niches which would get costly and require digging up around the pool perimeter. There are some lighting options that can use the existing niche (such as Pentair Intellibrite), but if the niche is eventually going to leak because of the corrosion I want to do the right thing. Or can I expect a pool epoxy to be able cover/repair these areas?
Any suggestions? Thanks!
