Coping mortar issue

Hello,

Our pool contractor didn’t trough the mortar under the limestone coping. I am looking to fill channels with something. If I don’t the only thing stopping the rain/irrigation water from getting into the pool is the waterline tile and grout. What would be a good substance to use?

Explain what you are looking to show in the pics with the measuring tape?

You can mix up some mortar and just fill it in. I don’t think you need to worry about freeze thaw so it’s not really imperative and your patio or lawn should be graded away from the pool so you should not have to worry about water flowing back into the coping.

The measuring tape and stick photos are just to show how deep the channel goes under the coping. I can reach the waterline tile.

If you have a spackle knife you can just pack mortar in the voids.

are you doing a deck around this? if not then i would definitely fill them with mortar.
