The pool store is not more accurate than you. Get a good test kit and do your own testing. You'll be much better off.
With a CC of 2 ppm you certainly need to perform the shock process. If you're not familiar with the correct procedure, read how to do it in Pool School and follow the instructions.
Clorox, bleach, sodium hypochlorite; it's all the same just may be different concentrations. Use the Pool calculator to figure out how much to add after testing.
The amount of FC you want to reach is dependent on the CYA. And pool stores are notoriously bad at getting the CYA right or even close.
