I've got a couple of sets of the ultra fine cartridges for my dolphin supreme m4, which is now into it's 7th season. They look pretty grungy. Is there a recommended way to clean these a bit (maybe a muriatic solution or something?) or should I just celebrate that's I've effectively got about 3 years worth per set (only about 5 months a year of pool being open though).

i soak mine in a bucket with a couple of squirts of liquid cascade .
I hose mine off every few cycles, and I anticipate deep cleaning them at the end of the season with an oxy-clean type detergent.
