Hi everyone, I just did a ahh some purge and refill. The tub is heating right now and I was wondering what the correct procedure is for balancing chemicals. Should I shock it first? If so, to what ppm. Or should I raise the FC to normal level with dichlor (using this while bringing up the cya level) and take care of TA and CH. looking for advice. Thanks in advance.

No. Read this thread if you're going to be using a chlorine system. Read this thread if you're going to be using a bromine based system.
Basically, what you want to do is get the TA, pH and maybe TH set where you want it, add the Borate then add the sanitizer. That's the progression.
