Looks like it might be copper.

Do you have a heater, ionizer or use copper algaecide?

That looks like copper. Have you been using any copper algaecides? How about the Chloroxpool stuff with Xtrablue? Have you been chlorinating with trichlor pucks? I ask that because they are very acidic and can dissolve the copper heat exchanger in your heater. The acidity also can soften/etch the plaster, which is what those splotches look like to me.

What is your pH and TA?
