Calcium Hardness

Calcium hardness tests out at 250ppm (using Taylor 2006K). All other ranges are good.

Pool is located in North Texas where we get a ton of sun. TFB "ideal" CH ranges is 350-550ppm for a plaster pool. But I have also seen in some of the comments that if your pool gets a lot of sun that CH will rise naturally on its own. Is that the case? Or should some to raise it to 350ppm?

Please post a full set of test results.
If your fill water has calcium in it and you use fill water due to evaporation, your CH level in your pool water will rise over time. If you have a lot of rain and over flow from the pool due to it, your CH level in your pool water may fall.

Your CSI is on the low side I suspect. Are you tracking that?

How are you chlorinating?

ok -- you do not want that to go any lower.

You could switch to using cal hypo to chlorinate for awhile if you wish. Or add some calcium to get to 300+.
