Calcium Carbonate Precipitate [Solved], Cyanuric Acid Levels Falling Dramatically and Can't Maintain Chlorine Levels [Unsolved].

Hi splashpad,

With Palintest 25 pro+ Palintest I can test free chlorine, total chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, cyanuric acid, copper and phosphate.
Yep I'm aware of low chlorine level at the moment, generator is off after initial ScaleTec dose. (may help with calcium carbonate?) I will add some liquid chlorine later today.
I clean the filter a minimum of 7 days after cyanuric acid is added (to the skimmer box basket) Cyanuric acid is getting into the pool water (see recent results pool 2 forum share)
The pool definitely got SLAMMED!

Hello,
I tested NH3 again (6/3/19) and again it was less than 0.5ppm.
ScaleTec may have done the trick. I'll update in about a week.

Still can't keep cyanuric acid levels up.
I'm going to hit it with ClO2 next.

Are regular doses of sodium hypochlorite to keep your FC levels up not feasible atm?

Yes. I've added 1 tab in the recent past (0.5ppm equivalent) on the suggestion / recommendation of the local pool shop.
C-5 tablets.
Now waiting for more tabs.

2ppm equivalent ClO2 put into pool on 1/4/19.
We'll see how it goes.
