Can anyone recommend a pole that after 2 seasons it doesn't collapse every time you use it. I been buying the compression ones and in no time they slip.

There has to be a better design

I got sick of that, too. I drilled a hole through the thin piece and bought a hitch pin clip (like a giant bobbie pin) at the hardware store. That keeps it from sliding in, but it's easy to remove if I want to shorten the pole.

Ethan,

The best pole for me is a Pentair Rainbow, Metal Cam, telescopic.. P/N is R191046, 812-16.. (16 foot)

I threw all my other pieces of garbage away once I started using this type. Found it at my local pool store for about $30 bucks...

I did not know it was a Pentair product until I went to buy another one, and checked the P/N..

Thanks,

Jim R.
