Blisters after 1st day of swimming

Hey guys,
Thanks in advance for any advice or experience you can provide. We just got our 1st pool installed. Went with stonescapes mini pebble finish. After swimming for hours today, the kids have blisters on their toes. Is this a normal 1st swim experience, or was the pool finish not installed properly?

That's the pebble problem. A season or two will toughen their feet and skinned knees and elbows.
