Hello,

I unfortunately have high iron water. I’ve used various products that heave help bind up the iron and produce a clear pool, but going forward I’d like to not add any more phosphates to the water if I can help it.

any idea of what products actually work for iron but don’t contain phosphates?

Phosphates don't matter if you keep your chlorine level in line with the Chlorine/CYA chart. Pool stores like to test for phosphates so they can talk about how algae eats phosphates and then they can sell you phosphate removers. I does not matter how high your phosphates get if you have no algae, and you will not have any algae if you maintain good control over your chlorine levels.

I know that I didn't actually answer your question, sorry about that, there are a lot of threads on the forum about removing iron from pool water. There are a lot of different methods, but they are all hit or miss.
