Hi,

My Aquarite has problem intermittently: check salt and cell light is always on. after reset, it may work for a few hours ONLY. Leslie confirmed cell is good.
below are the diagnostic:

The thermistor appears broken. is it causing the problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

The thermistor has been replaced once. Who did that?

It needs to be replaced again.

What is the salinity and how are you measuring it?

You need to use a K-1766 salt test kit or a calibrated meter.

Thanks!
It has been like that since I bought the house. How do you know it was replaced once? will desoldering be easier?

I rely on the SWG to ocheck the salinity, maybe it is time to get some test kit.

There is an easy way to replace the thermistor. You don’t have to deal with soldering to the board. Just cut the legs of the old thermistor and wrap them around the legs of the replacement and solder. It’s quick and easy and leaves it standing away from the board in a vertical position for better cooling.
