We are finalizing plans for our pool remodel and are planning on a natural stone waterfall. Either Tennessee rock, Florida rock, or a combination of both. Probably in the 35-45 ton range, possibly less if it is all Florida rock. We will have plans created by an engineer to make sure the footer is properly done.

Any negatives? Throwing chemicals off? Rock maintenance? Would you do it again?

You need to be sure to select a hard stone that will not erode quickly when exposed to running water and pool chemicals. Your builder or local landscape engineer should have recommendations for the best stone to use for your waterfall.
