Algaecide vs shock?

Okay, so pool supply houses sell overpriced low active ingredient (copper) algaecide. Any comments on using Cutrine Plus?

I've never heard of that. Things that have CU in the name usually contain copper. Copper builds up and stains pools and people and dogs. I have been able to maintain my pool fine for five years without cutrine plus, I'm sure you can too. All you need are these, Pool School - Recommended Pool Chemicals

Yeah, cutrine is an aquacide and is LOADED with copper.

Sr. Notso, why would you even consider using it?

That might be akin to using cattle spray for a mosquito bite!

It's too easy to find alternative weapons than to use copper in ANY pool.
