Aiper seagull pro vs dolphin premier vs aquabot reva

Trying to decide on a pool cleaner, and I’ve narrowed it down to the three choices.

The dolphin is expensive, but proven.

The reva is cheaper, but also well reviewed.

The seagull is new and I can’t seem to find any reviews on it, but looks intriguing given that it’s battery operated and I don’t have to deal with chords. it’s the same price as the reva.

Any feedback on these choices?

For some definition of the word "proven", yes. There's a consensus around here that the Dolphins last 3-5 years before they need $450 motor replacements.

Really? Seems to be around the same price as the Dolphin S200, and the reviews I saw -- from an admittedly quick search -- seem pretty mixed.

You won't have to deal with a cord across your deck and into the water, but you'll still need a cord plugged into a nearby AC outlet to charge the thing. Which you'll have to do after every cleaning cycle -- you'll never be able to leave it in the water for multiple days like the corded robots.

I have no experience with the Aiper robot, but I imagine that it will require regular expenditures for battery replacement. From the specs, the battery sounds like a 24V 9Ah lithium-ion -- a type often used by E-bikes and electric scooters. Those batteries cost around $100 and are typically replaced every 500 charges. So to offset that battery cost, the Aiper's motor would have to last 12 years to the Dolphin's 4 years (or cost $150 to the Dolphin's $450).
