I haven't really tried them yet in the sun - it has been nothing but rain here for so long! Hopefully we have some sun soon and I will test it out for you!
Did you ever get a chance to use those loungers? Are they comfy? Wife wants some, but didn't know how they felt.

I have used them - they are comfy if you are laying out in the sun - but if you are wanting to sit up and talk - they are kind of hard on the butt. Thinking I might get some sort of cushions for them. BUT I do LOVE them and everyone comments on them.

I am using them for both - but most of the time there are a lot of people over and in the pool - so when that happens - we just put reg plastic chairs on the ledge (I can fit 4-5 of them) - and leave the lounge chairs on the deck. But they are so cool on the ledge!
