I just got a solar cover, and I'm planning on keeping the pool covered when we aren't in it. During the week, that may mean a run of a few days without removing the cover. How should I add chemicals? Fold back some of the cover and add prediluted chemicals? I can't walk around the perimeter pouring in bleach, for example, and other than DE I believe adding things to the skimmer itself is discouraged - especially in the case of an acid!

You should never walk around the pool adding bleach or anything else.

Add liquid chemicals at the return with the pump running. Pour in a pencil sized stream. The cover should not be an issue, just fold it back for access to the return.
