Helo added 1 lb of cya to my salt water oool in the skimmer without basket , did I ruin pool?

It is better to put it into a sock and put the sock in front of a return... And no, you did not ruin anything, it will be just fine..
If you have a cartridge filter it will dissolve over the next week or so and if you have a sand filter it will empty it all when you backwash...
Only shut the SWG off when adding salt
