Just got a FG pool installed. I do not have an autofill.
I did some brief reading during the past months about adding a supply line tied to the return line of the pool with a backflow preventer (to avoid mixing pool water and house water).
I wanted to just put that supply on a valve (like I have for my irrigation system), that I control with my phone app to schedule on/off for filling.
Seems simple enough. Do I have it right? Should it be done differently? Just figured it would be a very easy method to top off the pool without getting hose out/in and having to worry about it.
I'll eventually have a good idea of a set time i'll use based on how much lower the water is on skimmer to have good enough idea for time set.
Thoughts?
