Add Boric Acid with TA at 110?

I'm planning on adding Boric Acid to my pool. My TA seems to stay constant at 110 no matter what I do. I dropped my pH to 7.2 three times over the past week, yet my TA stays at 110. I think my TA has actually been at 80 one time about 6 months ago. It's nearly always at the 100-110 mark.

Is it OK to add boric acid, or do I need to get more aggressive in lowering my TA?

In my opinion, it does not make any difference where the TA is when you add the boric acid.

In my opinion, it's actually easier to lower the TA with borates because you can add more acid, which lowers the TA more.
