I have kept my numbers good and pool clean all summer and in two day, after a lot of rain, I’ve got light yellowish green looking stuff all over bottom part of wall and on floor. In places there’s streaks and they almost look orange. My numbers are off as of last night. I had tested just a few days before the rain. We had all night and all day of hard rain. I am posting my numbers. My questions are:
1. Could this be this bad just from not being able to vacuuming for 3 days?
2. Where do I start? What should I target first?
3. I’ve suspected for a while my new pump may not be as forceful as it should be, but they told me on here it probably would be fine. I’ve been looking for few months and things still aren’t easy to find. I have a Hayward in wall skimmer and change/clean out the basket everyday. Our sand pump always shows in the green, about 7, but we have backwashed three times this summer and each time the water wash very dirty, but pump gauge still showed green and the glass tube looked clean. I am just in a panic! I will leave this up for winter. I clean before I drain, then drain below hoses, get it to slam level, then use polyquat. I have winter cover I put on and plan to use jugs to hold down with. I just need to know what to do and how I can keep this clean until temps drop enough to close. I do plan on getting a new vacuum as mine quit. I have stablizer for CYA, Muratic acid for TA, now what else and in what order? I do follow the BBB method with my saltwater pool. Thanks in advance on what to do first....and then after.
