Above ground draining?

If you have a drain in the floor and a valve that allows you to select it exclusively, plus you have some kind of outlet on your filter, then it's possible. If you don;t have valves or outlets, the price of the plumbing to set it up will be more than the cost of a small submersible, or the rental of a big pump that can empty it in an hour.

I'd have to echo Tom. Just siphon. If you've got a pool vacuum and hose, that'll flow a huge amount. If you wish to direct the water further than the vacuum hose will reach, use a garden hose. Or two.

A lengthy garden hose is easy to start a siphon with. Drop it in the pool and turn on the water. That will fill it. Then shut off the water and unscrew it. You're siphoning! Just keep the open end lower than the pool surface while you drag it to wherever you want it to drain.
