I located a service manual for the control box and it says my model should be using 3.5-4A. I measured with a cheap meter and got 4.3A. The controller is in positive mode at 100% duty cycle and putting out right at 12V. I'll double check, but in the past, voltage in the negative mode has been 11.7V.
Assuming the 4.3A is correct, what would be the indication of a higher than spec amperage draw? I have a very high salt level and am wondering if that's the cause. I'm at 5400 whereas mfg recommends 3000 with a max of 6000. The cell was just cleaned yesterday and pH is at 7.5.
