Hi, I have a vinyl above ground pool and it was beautiful sparkly clear, but got a little hazy this week. We have had tons of rain. My numbers are...
FC- 8.5
cc-0.5
pH-8.0
TA-140
cya- less than 30. The black dot disappears when the water level is at the very top of the cylinder.

What do I need to do first? SLAM? fix pH? lower TA? I would appreciate

First, lower pH using Muriatic Acid. Then add another 15 ppm CYA, either by granular stabilizer or by using pucks or dichlor shock. Keep the FC up there around 8. And if things don't improve, go for the SLAM.

What is your CH? Low CH is no problem for a vinyl pool, but high CH is bad for any pool, and high CH and high pH and high TA combined can cause cloudiness.

Your high TA will come down if you are scrupulous about keeping pH down.
