I bought a Hayward EC40 from craiglist a few months ago, the pool looks amazing from it. Whenever i bump it i get about 5 seconds of cloudy water back into the pool. I am going to take it apart this weekend, what should i look for that could be the cause of this?

I think that is pretty normal ... at least is makes sense to me.
When you bump you knock the dirt and DE (which captures the dirt) off the fingers. When you start the pump back up, the fingers need to be recoated with the DE, but before that happens, does not surprise me that some dirt might pass through.

Makes me happy that its nothing to worry about. Still going to take it apart and clean it since I didnt do it when I bought it
