First TF-100 Test Results

Finally ordered my TF-100, and here are my results:

FC 9 (but measured with the 'basic' test was 4?)
CC .5
pH 7.5
CH 200
TA 180
CYA 60

How does that look?

Glad you have the TF 100
I am not sure why you say you have FC 9, but the basic test says 4. If your FC is really 9 using the powder and drops then the basic test would be a little darker than 5.


TA is high. PH is within range.
As long as PH does not rise to quickly then you can leave the TA alone. If you find it rises fast then you will want to follow the lowering total alkalinity process in the how to part of pool school.

I honestly couldn't tell the difference in the colors between the 3 and 5 on the basic FC test, so it may just be me. Should I trust the powder/drop test over the basic?

ALWAYS use the powder/drop test for analysis ... it's your mainstay. the color test is an added bonus in the kit just to back up what test #1 is telling you. Basically just a confirmation.

Always trust the powder drop test. It is more accurate.
