Pool Ionizers?

Hello all pool class members. I was wondering if anyone has used any solar pool ionizers i.e. Remington and if they work or are they just a waste of money. I have a 28' ABG pool and approx. 20,000 gallons. I live in northern Ohio and the weather here changes about every 4 hours. Any info would be appreciated. At present, I use about 3-4 gallons/ week of 12.5 chlorine. Thank You

Hi, welcome to TFP! Ionizers are not necessary and will add unwanted metals to your pool. There may be something going on that consumes 3-4 gallons of chlorine a week. If you post a complete set of test results we could tell you what may be going on with your pool.
