We have decided to buy a robotic pool cleaner for our rectangular pool and spa, and are a bit confused about feature benefits & brand quality & warranty. We are overhauling our 20 year old gunite in ground pool and rebuilding the deck and wall, converting the pool from chlorine to salt water with new pumps, etc. We have had a pool service handling routine cleaning & maintenance for 5 years, and have decided we will try to take over the care of the pool to save the monthly expense. Our pool has a new tile line, curved walls as the side walks meet the bottom, NO metal steps but 3 built in steps in the shallow end, and a resting seat in the deep end. Does anyone have experience with the new Dolphin Premier model that costs over $1,200 including added caddy, & leaf bag + S/H, only sold online by PoolExpress online ? Also, how does Dolphin's new model compare to the Dolphin DX6, M4 or their M5, or any of the Pentair robotic cleaners or other brands out there of great reputation & quality ?
