My Polaris 360 is powered by the return line to the pool. Only problem is my pool only has that one return line. When the vac is hooked up and running it obviously restricts some of the pressure back to the pool. In doing so, my overall pressure spikes about 20% almost as if the filter needed to be back washed. My question is how long is it safe to run the vac with this "spike" in pressure?

Surprisingly, pool pumps don't care at what pressure they operate as long as it's within their usual range of 0-35 or thereabouts
