Muriatic Acid or Ph down?

My Ph is 7.8 which is not high but I would like to lower it a little. Should I use MA or some PH down which I have from last year? I read pool chemistry which says I should use dry ice or PH down. Any help would be great!

Muriatic is the purest and the best but pH down will work as well with little side affect.

+1 on MA is the best.
