I am having the same problem but it isn't immediate. I get a good reading as follows:
-27.23v
-5.11a
96 F
3200 PPM
It works fine for a minute then gives the error. Sometimes it will work for 5-15 minutes before the error comes up.
Would appreciate it if any can advise.

Probably due to the high water temperature. Is there a heater? What cell do you have?
