Our pool layout has been drawn ! Hoping to dig Saturday !
We are retired and this is our first pool. I never see anyone mention railings for the swimout in the deep end. Now don't laugh, but how do you get out of the pool if there's nothing to hold onto ?
Our pool is 32' long, not very big. So I guess we could exit from the tanning ledge in the shallow end.
Btw,thanks for all the postings and advice on this forum ! If it ever stops raining we will have our pool one day !

Our pool is 32' long also, with young kids in the deep end and a fear that we old folks might tire out now and then too. So (since we have a automatic cover to consider) we had the pool builder install drop down stairs that can be raised or lowered by pulling 2 long pins out of the base. Easily done even from within the pool. We don't use them often unless the kids are doing lots of cannonballs and horsing around in the deep water and want fast exit and access for more fun. It works like this
