salt gen. off for about 9 months.due to surgery I am not able to pick up salt bags ,just using chlorine for now.will it hurt my salt gen. only about 2 years old .thank you George.

Nope. Should not hurt it.
Although seems like it would be easier on you in the future to have a friend dump in the salt (takes 10 minutes), so you do not have to add bleach every day.

I would add that ANY piece of equipment left idle for several months is likely not real good. Although it shouldn't hurt a thing, there may be some cleaning out, etc. that simply happens when man-made things are left untouched.
I would be out there with a 1 quart milk jug with the top cut off scooping salt up in smaller quantities.
