I've been using liquid chlorine and the nice older lady at the pool store mentioned that I should consider using Poolife Active Cleaning Caplets. I mentioned that I had a problem with my CYA previously being high after years of using tabs. She says this product has no stablizer, here's what's on the MSDS......calcium hypochlorite 60-80%, sodium chloride 10-20%. calcium chlorate 0-5%, calcium chloride 0-5%, calcium hydroxide 0-6%, calcium carbonate 0-5%, water 4-8.5%. It's a little thing you put in the skimmer. This looks like chlorine, salt and water for the most part, is this a viable alternative to liquid chlorine?
