40 year old (ish) Anthony pool light questions

The light doesn't work in my pool. We recently bought the house and I really know zero about the construction of the pool. In my research today, I found that the sealed pool lamps of today have a long bunch of wire attached to them for removal. Was it typical of Anthony Pools of yesteryear to have a sealed light fixture with a long bunch of wire for removal?

With the drought here in California and the strict water rules that are now in place, there is no way I am draining the pool to take out the light fixture.

Thanks for any and all help.

It was typical of most builders - most pools, I can't speak to Anthony tho. I would expect that you have enough wire to get it to top of the deck. Good thing is that it is easy to check. Go ahead and pull the screw and take it out. Just be careful not to drop the screw or tools.
