copper blocks for Intex question

I keep seeing post about removing it. Is this necessary for an above intex pool?

I have the Krystal Clear Saltwater Model 7110/8110. I've been getting low salt but when I do the test kit I get about 4000 for salt reading.

If you do not want the copper added to the pool and potentially get staining and green hair, then at a minimum you should disconnect the copper wires.

Low salt warnings when the salt level seems to be fine often point to a dirty cell or a failing cell. How old is the SWG?

its about 3-4 weeks. so that old. I notice if I turn it off and back on it will work for a few days and then the low salt message comes back.

That is odd. Might want to contact them about warranty coverage. How did you verify the salt level?

I used taylor test kit K-1766 CHLORIDE SALT WATER , added my info.

Is intex pretty good at replacements. I'm assuming they will send me a replacement and i'll have to return the damaged or other way around?

If your unit is less than 2 years old, they will replace it for free. I've never had them ask me to send the old one back.

Just called they said that they will send me the TITANIUM ELECTRODE part and that it was a common issue.

yes. i will admit I couldn't find my receipt so I did the unthinkable. I saved a receipt from amazon, and modified it with all the intex details. it got approved.

honestly they should know its a legit device by the serial number, not sure why they make you jump through hoops. who saves all receipts lesson learned.
