Converting from Pristine Blue to Chlorine

Ok....our pool was finished in November, 2014. It is a small gunite pool, approximately 6,000 gallons. We are able to heat it so we were able to use it all winter. About three weeks ago we were sold on Pristine Blue because of the small body of water, the chlorine was difficult to regulate. Since draining and going to Pristine Blue, we have had nothing but a green/black body of water. Today, we drained more than 3/4 of the water and refilled. I just tested the copper level and unfortunately it is still showing a reading, even after all the new water. What should be do tomorrow for chemicals? Thanking you in advance!

That's at the borderline of causing issues. Why don't you drain 1/2 again which will put you at .15 and should represent no problem.

3000 gallons will cost you about $10-20 based on your water rate. There is no cheaper fix.

Why was the chlorine difficult to regulate? Maybe we can help.
