DE leaking into pool when pump starts

I've been having this problem since last season. I see DE or some kind of dirt at the bottom of pool right after I start the pump. I've taken the fingers out and examined them for tears and why not, but I see nothing obvious. I also checked the gasket and lubricated it to no avail. I have 3 sets of finger but they all do the same, if anybody has some ideas I'll appreciate it.
BTW, the water is fine since I use my RoboKleen after I stop the pump, the dirt is just PITA!

Check the plastic disk that the fingers mount to. I had the same problem with a disk that was cracked.

Yeah, last night I took it apart and I saw hairline cracks in multiple places, especially on the bottom sheet. Thanks Astrolite!
