I posted a few weeks back and wanted to follow up. I am still having trouble with FC usage per day. Today it was 5.0. I tested last night about 8 and it was 6.5, again this AM at about 6 and again 6.5. This evening it was 1.5. My total CC is 0. Pollen has come o a halt so I am at a loss. Last year my usage was high but not this high. My CYA is now at about 45. Any help would be great.

One possibility is you may have some algae in and/or around your ladder. How clear would you say your water is?

For a couple of weeks, I was having a similar FC problem, plus daily dead algae on the bottom of the pool. I found active algae inside my ladder steps. I turned it upside down, filled each step with pure bleach, and let it sit over night. Now my FC is stable and have no more dead algae on bottom of the pool.
