Pentair variable speed pump -- DIY or pro?

I want to replace my old whisperflo with a variable speed pump for energy efficiency and noise reduction, but the Pentair pump I picked out is only warrantied for 60 days unless I pay a pro to come install.

Should I swallow the install labor to get the 3 yr warranty? I've never had a pump problem, so I'm not sure if the warranty is something to worry about.

Boy, that is a coin toss. My pentair VSpump is 3 years old with no issues. And many failures, especially electronics, occur as out of box or early failures. I guess that is a pump cost vs install cost calculation.
