Hello everyone!

My wife and I are new pool owners in the Jacksonville area. We believe that our in-ground pool has a crack in it and are wondering how to go about fixing it? The crack runs from the coping to the floor on the shallow end of the pool. Looking for any and all advice.

Is this a new pool or is it just new to you?

Are you losing water?

How wide is the crack? Less than a millimeter or is it wide enough to stick a finger into?

This is getting personal.

Another question is how much do you want to spend? If you like a cheap fix and it's an older pool I'd probably start with some two-part epoxy like this: http://www.azpartsmaster.com/Products/Pool-Epoxy-Putty__PP0317.aspx

Then see if it continues to grow. You might also consider drilling a small, shallow hole through the plaster at the end of the crack to try to stop it.

There's always the chance that this is a larger structural concern but this would be a good start.
